Selest offers headend design services, implementation services and plant services such as node audits and noise mitigation. Our engineers are experienced launching new services from Greenfield to customer deployment, including video delivery, DOCSIS 3.0, PacketCable, and FTTH technologies. Selest offers advanced Project Management and field testing services, and we work directly with senior staff and your NOC to ensure successful migrations of new services and technologies.
Sean Lester - Founder and Chief Systems Architect
Mr. Lester has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and is currently finalizing a Masters in Electrical Engineering Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT).
Mr. Lester has 17+ years of experience in the communications industry. Mr. Lester has experience with MSOs, telco carriers, wireless networks and public safety networks.
Mr. Lester has held systems analyst positions and senior engineering positions at Cox Communications, Vision Point Systems and Harris RF Communications. Mr. Lester has also held project management roles and leadership roles.
Mr. Lester is active with the SCTE® , with groups such as FIRST® Lego® League, and has volunteered expertise with Blacksburg Broadband 2015.
In 2011, recognizing there was inadequate SCTE representation for central and western Virginia, Mr. Lester initiated an effort with multiple MSOs including Shentel, Cox and Selest Systems in Virginia to form the SCTE Great Valleys Meeting Group. Mr. Lester is currently the President of the SCTE Great Valleys Chapter.
